The strongest point here is that relevance lives in the buyer’s interpretation, not the brand’s intention.

A company may think it is selling innovation.

The customer may be buying safety.

The company may be selling speed.

The customer may be buying relief.

That gap matters because differentiation is not always about having a different product.

Sometimes it is about understanding the deeper meaning customers already attach to it.

Brands stay relevant when they keep listening for what the buyer is really trying to protect, feel, or become.
